The wonders from Kato Xenia

Greece, land of fairytale, wonderland. On the banks of the Pagastic Gulf lays the city of Volos, and at about 50 miles away lays the monastery Kato Xenia.

The monastery is impressive both as a form of construction and for the blessing well-being that spreads
towards everyone. Everything is quiet and charming, divine comfort. Nuns give you fresh Turkish delights and flavorful and homemade bread.
The Kato Panagia Xenia monastery, which in translation means The Stranger, Blessed Virgin Church from Beyond, offers everyone its most precious item such as an Icon of Our Lady miraculous, that miraculously reached the monastery, completely different from Greek art. Therefore it was called The Stranger (Xenia), and a belt of The Virgin, its most valuable Christian relics. I prayed fervently, touching holy relic shrine, one of the few souvenirs priceless inherited directly from the Virgin Mary.
The belt was made by Our Lady herself of camel hair and is said to have been given to the Apostle Thomas, who was not present at her funeral, as proof of his resurrection and ascension to heaven. I was deeply  thrilled near the relic touched by Mother of Jesus Christ herself and felt myself closer to heaven and spiritual fulfillment than ever. I got a blue ribbon that was touched to the holy belt from Reverend Mother which was given to me as a gift. My son, which had got the flu on the ferry, was miraculously cured after I put the ribbon on his wrist. The Cincture of The Virgin Mary Story, the belt that defeats diseases and brings babies to the worldFrom St. Thomas, The Cincture of The Virgin reached Capadoccia, from where it was taken to Jerusalem by Emperor Theodosius the Great, where it remained until the fourth century. In 395, Arcadius, son of Emperor Theodosius the Great, brings The holy Cincture to Constantinople. During the tenth century, it was wrapped in gold by Empress Zoe, wife of Leo the Wise, as a gratitude for the miracle of saving her from an evil spirit. She put it in a shrine offered by Emperor Arcadius. In the thirteenth century, the Bulgarian King, Ionita Caloian, took The Cincture from Constantinople. Later, the belt was given by the Serbian Prince Lazar to the Monastery  Vatoped of Mount Athos. According to other sources the Cincture was given to the Monastery Vatoped by the Byzantine Emperor John Cantacuzino. The Silver Shrine that contains the holy belt was made in Wallachia in the eighteenth century. The reliquary keeps only a part of the Cincture, because other two parts were given, in 1522, to Kato Xenia Monastery. During decades, the holy belt cured a huge number of sick people, especially afflicted by cancer, and helped many barren women to bring children to the world. Miracles occurred after they wore ribbons that were touched to the holy Girdle of the Virgin.
