Building with 17 floors Underground

   Always  the sensational things in tourism industry stand out. Therefore Marriott company plans the construction of the tallest hotel in the world until the end of 2013.

   The Intercontinental Group of China, however, intends the exact opposite: in a former stone quarry with a

depth of 90 meters, placed between somecliffs, will be built a 5-star hotel: Truly an underground plan! For now, the hole located inSongjiang, a rural suburb of Shanghai, is still intact and on its bottomthere is water, but soon here will come facilities to build the luxury hotel “Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland”, specifically dedicated to people with money. The Asian Group Shimao  will accomplish the spectacular project. The project has successfully passed all environmental tests. The 5-star hotel will fitperfectly with the surrounding nature, near the hotel natural waterfalls will be flowing into the lake at the bottom of the pit. The floors will be arranged in the form of steps, on the facade will grow green plants. From distance, the hotel will be hardly spotted. Only one floor will rise over the edge ofthe quarry,another 17 will be held down along the cliff walls. Two floors will be placed just under the water, with restaurants and rooms below the water. The openingdate for "Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland" was announced for 2013, at an exhibition in Hong Kong.
