The mysteryous plot against Pope

Stir in the Italian media regarding a plot against Pope Benedict XVI. According to a secret document, the archbishop of Palermo had hinted that he learned about a plot and that “the Pope should die in the next 12 months”.

The Vatican described the document, written in German, revealed by the newspaper “Il Fatto Quotidiano”,
as “delirious and without connection with reality”. This newspaper published on December 30, 2011  the “very confidential document” that was hand out by Colombian Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos to the private secretary of Benedict XVI in January. The document retake an alarming statement made by Archbishop of Palermo, Paolo Romeo, during a travel in China, in November, last year. The bizarre prediction was made to Chinese representatives of the Catholic Church who were so convinced he was talking about a planned assassination that they reported the incident to the Vatican. During his conversations in China, he prophesized the death of Pope Benedict XVI within the following 12 months. The document does not specify any place or any time when the Pope might be assassinated. "It is clear that the document contains statements that have nothing in common with reality," said Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi. "I do not deny the existence of this document in German, I say only that it should not be taken seriously". According to confidential sources, the relationship between Benedict XVI and his Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, was very conflictive and the Pope would seek to replace him. The favourite candidate is the Cardinal of Milan, Angelo Scola. According to experts, the distribution of document is a result of the fight for power. Italian media have released also rumours about a possible resignation of the Pope. Let us hope that neither plot nor resignation of Benedict XVI are true, because, in the twelfth century, St. Malachy O'Morgair, archbishop of Armach (Ireland), had visions worrying about only 112 popes there will be until to the end of time. According to his prophecy, Benedict XVI is the 111th Supreme Pontiff, characterized as “the glory of the olive tree”. From this point of view, the prophecy was fulfilled, as its name refers to the Order of St. Benedict, with a branch of Olivetani (Olivetans), and, as the olive branch is a symbol of peace, Pope Benedict XVI is indeed dedicated to "peace and holiness." Malachy says,  that, after him, will be only a Pope, Peter the Roman, and during his Papacy will begin The Third World War, the plagues of Apocalypse.
