Zürich the most expensive city in the world

Zürich dethroned Tokyo as the most expensive city in the world for tourists, according to Economist Intelligence Unit.

When someone says Zürich, we think at chocolate and gold bullion of banks. Zürich is among the first
market in the world of precious metals. In this beautiful city I saw the great variety Swiss of tasteful chocolate. The chocolate factory Lindt & Spüngli includes a fascinating museum. The coffee shops offer hot chocolate, shoggi. I tried chocolate with chili pepper, which is delicious. Limmat River divides the city into two parts. Red roofs and church towers give a special charm for the small metropolis with 350,000 residents, living in peace. Zürich, one of the important global financial centers in the world, is expensive for tourists and foreigners, but not for its inhabitants. The romans once lived on these lands and called it Turicum. The alamanni have occupied it in the fifth century. Zürich became a free city in 1218 and in 1351 joined the Confoederatio Helvetica. It attracted many writers, such as the Romanian Tristan Tzara and James Joyce, who is buried in The Fluntern Cemetery. Major attractions of the city are: the Town Hall, with the most beautiful baroque hall in Switzerland, the churches Grossmünster, St. Peter, Fraumünster, with stained glass made in 1980 by Marc Chagall at the age of 83 years, Wasserkirche, built on the site where the saints protectors of the city were martyred. The Kunsthaus is one of the most valuable a fine art gallery in Europe.
